Havila Harmony to DSV – Dive Support Vessel

Following wet storage of the flexible lay spread on the sea bed, the Havila Harmony (HH) was demobilised from an Installation Vessel (ISV) and re-mobilised as a Dive Support Vessel (DSV) for the second phase of the Puffin Field Subsea Installation. Orwell Offshore personnel provided engineering, design and technical input to planning.

This included the following:

  • Function test and classification of dive equipment
  • Load and seafasten dive spread onto mezzanine deck main components (including twin lock chamber
  • frame, spool piece, single lock chamber frame, bell LARS and HRC LARS)
  • Pressure test of dive spread
  • Fabrication and installation of mezzanine deck extension pieces to accommodate the dive spread equipment

The actual mobilisation was carried out in Singapore’s Loyang Offshore Supply Base over a 15 day period.
