Mooring & Riser System Design
Orwell Offshore personnel have, over the years, gained considerable experience in the design of bespoke mooring systems for marine operations.
Orwell Offshore’s engineering expertise combined with the experience of its marine personnel allows practical solutions to be developed, backed up by the latest engineering design capability.
Orwell Offshore has undertaken numerous studies and detailed designs of mooring systems, many of which are for smaller systems such as support vessels, tugs and floating hoses, temporary moorings as well as for bigger floating production systems.
Mooring systems can be designed to a range of marine standards including API RP2SK, DNV POSMOOR, BS6349. All designs come with full design report and drawings.
Typically examples of Orwell Offshore work scopes are:
• Spread mooring system
• Buoy moorings for tankers and hoses
• Storm/cyclone moorings
• Holdback moorings
• Drag anchors, suction anchors and vertical lift anchors
• Deep water, shallow water and surf zones applications
