Mark Evans - Managing DirectorMark is a Naval Architect with a broad experience in marine consultancy, design and marine operations. In recent years this has focused around the design, construction, installation and operation of mooring and riser systems and FPSO conversion engineering (hull and marine systems).Prior to joining Orwell Offshore, Mark had responsibilities in a number of companies for all naval architecture work as well as holding several positions on FPSO projects including Engineering Manager, Lead Naval Architect and client representative. Mark is the founder and Managing Director of Orwell Offshore and remains responsible for all day to day projects within the company. Apart from his management role, Mark has also taken a number of senior roles for installation and vessel conversion projects to assist Clients in achieving schedule and budget. Mark remains focused on Orwell’s core philosophy – Solution Driven. |

Dr Edward Ballard - Principal Naval ArchitectEd is a PhD qualified Naval Architect with extensive experience in the analysis of ship motions and loads in waves. Prior to joining Orwell Offshore, Ed worked in the Research & Development department of Lloyd’s Register, developing methods for the assessing of the effects of ship motions on ship structures, cargo lashing equipment and the sloshing of LNG in membrane tanks. He has published and presented numerous papers on subjects relating to ship motions and loads, including time domain ship motion analysis, risk & reliability of FPSO hull structures, the effects of green water on FPSOs and parametric rolling of containerships. Ed was also a member of the Lloyd’s Register Ship Emergency Response Service and has experience in the provision practical advice to ships, both during and following incidents. |

Stuart Hunt - Technical Director - StructuralStuart is a chartered engineer with 40 years’ experience in the steel construction industry, including over 32 years in the oil and gas sector. He has wide experience in all oil and gas projects including fixed structures (topsides and jackets), TLPs, subsea structures, installation and transportation, FPSO turrets and installation and ship conversions.Recent projects include several FPSO internal and external turrets, mooring analyses and support systems for spread moorings, CALM buoys, SPM turrets, suction piles, internal disconnectable mooring systems; riser/umbilical analyses and third party verification of marine systems. |

Brenda Evans - General ManagerBrenda looks after the commercial side of the business. Her early career was spent in the oil industry, working for BP at Kent Refinery and she joined her husband on many assignments around the world with BP Projects. She spent 15 years working in the legal profession before joining Orwell Offshore as a Director, Company Secretary and General Manager. |

Kevin Boardman - Operations DirectorKevin is a Naval Architect by profession but has become a Senior Manager with a proven track record in technically challenging major construction projects. Over the last 25 years his project management/engineering experience has been gained across the globe in Europe, Scandinavia and SE Asia, with the last 13 years specialising in offshore projects. This has lead to extensive knowledge and expertise in dealing with technical, production, commercial and contractual issues coupled with "hands on" experience of the offshore production environment and associated issues (planning, scheduling, safety, quality and man-management.). |

Alan Waters - Principal Naval ArchitectAlan is a degree qualified, chartered engineer with many years of experience, mainly related to the analysis and planning of marine operations associated with the installation of offshore platforms, subsea equipment, risers and moorings in the UK and Norwegian sectors. His projects range from innovative work on tether systems for the first TLPs through to the more recent involvement with FPSOs and the Hywind floating wind turbine. |

Ruth Jago - Principal Naval Architect and Office Manager (Singapore)Ruth is a Naval Architect with experience in the design and analysis of ship structures and small craft design. Previously, Ruth worked for Lloyd's Register's Marine Product Development Department in London where she was involved in the maintenance and development of Lloyd's Register's marine Rules, procedures and guidance documentation. She was involved in providing Rule interpretation support and target projects including, development of fatigue assessment methods, LNG sloshing procedures and reviewing structural requirements for composites. Prior to joining Orwell Offshore, Ruth worked in Lloyd's Register's Design Support Office in Shanghai to assist Chinese shipyards and designers with pre-contract design development. She was involved in a variety of production level design projects including tankers, LNGC, container ships and green technologies. Ruth is a co-opted Council member of the Joint Branch of RINA & IMarEst (Singapore). |
